R&D Capabilities

Advancing next-generation aesthetic science through proprietary
technologies, continuous research, and innovative solutions for healthy beauty.

R&D Vision

J1 Global is committed to providing the perfect products and services to everyone who pursues healthy beauty.
We are conducting research in a wide range of fields, including aesthetic medical devices, mesotherapy, and cosmetics.

  • Aesthetic medical devices

    HA fillers, specialized syringes,
    and injection devices developed in-house.

  • Mesotherapy

    Targeted skin solutions
    delivered through advanced microinjection.

  • Cosmetics

    Functional cosmetics powered by
    our proprietary bio-active ingredients.

Core technology · PLA microspheres

Commercialized

Using the latest drug delivery systems (DDS), we have commercialized a collagen-stimulating microsphere manufacturing technology based on the biodegradable polymer PLA.

In research

We are also conducting research on multi-porous PLA microspheres based on double-layered nanoparticle manufacturing technology.

J1 Global’s R&D hub invents the proprietary technologies and
future actives driving the next wave of anti-aging science.

Through our research, we aim to secure core tissue regeneration technology
and deliver the highest level of beauty to our customers.

Ubiquitin-Proteasomal Degradation (UPD)

We are studying the functional role of ubiquitin as a mechanism to extend the active duration of peptides by regulating their half-life.

  • Our Goal

Through this research, we aim to enhance the function of peptides involved
in melanin pigmentation, thereby enabling control over both the production and inhibition of melanin.

This will become J1 Global’s proprietary core technology to meet the needs of customers seeking flawlessly clear and radiant skin.

  • Melanogenesis Pathway

Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx)

UV light floods skin with peroxides that darken pigment and age tissue.

The Mechanism

Our lab produces high-activity human GPx in E. coli (microorganism), then formulates it into liposomes that reach live keratinocytes.

Next step

Achieve a stable, scalable grade for the 2026 whitening line launch.

Future Focus

Our next focus is anchored in two near-term launches:

  • 01
    Clinical-grade peeling system

a pH-buffered, multi-acid mask for professional in-clinic use, targeting enlarged pores, excess sebum and photo-damage.

  • 02
    Next-generation PN (polynucleotide) skin booster

high-purity DNA fragments for deep hydration, fibroblast activation and enhanced skin luminosity with minimal downtime.

Research is always ongoing for customized total solutions for clear and healthy skin, involving peptides for whitening and wrinkle reduction.
